(CNN) - Whether you're flying or driving to your destination, traveling during the holidays can be tedious, confusing and stressful.
What did you do with confirmation of your flight? Where is the nearest public restroom? How long are you going to wait this bumper to bumper traffic?
Fortunately, applications, travel can help answer those questions and alleviate some of the volume of holiday travel. These five applications for passengers on planes and five drivers are in the iTunes App Store category list on the popular voyage. All are available for the iPhone and some are available at additional plaforms.
Air apps trips
Flight Status
No matter the airline or destination, flight status allows you to receive real-time information on all aspects of your flight. The app provides you with travel information on delays, expected time of arrival and amount of luggage. If you're flying it, this app also helps you choose the relatives from the airport in good time.
GateGuru
If you have a great attitude, GateGuru can help you navigate the airport. The application provides a complete list of airport facilities in 86 locations in the United States. Browse your terminal to the nearest gift shop or a particular type of food you're craving. GateGuru even provides real-time assessments of users and customers.
Tripit
Do not fumble with all these pieces of paper - just send all of your travel confirmation e-mail to plans@tripit.com and app Tripit will organize your trip for you. It even includes maps, directions and links to hotels and restaurants. Besides the iPhone, the application is available for download on Android and BlackBerry.
TSAwait
Use TSAwait to calculate how much time you spend on security. The application pulls statistics from TSA and shows the average and maximum waiting time - although the average change depending on holidays, weather and local events. Still, the app should give you a basic idea of the good and bad times to try to go through security.
OnTheFly
If you're a frequent flier during the holidays, OnTheFly can help you search for the best dates for airlines and airports. While you can book tickets through the app, the interface allows easy navigation for finding the best rate. You can change the search parameters to specify times, cabin class and number of passengers, among others. This is also great for helping the United Nations, I understand your relative can find a lot on airfare. OnTheFly is also available on Android.
Road trip gear

In a few seconds where; app can direct you to any type of place you're looking for - whether it's a sushi restaurant or bank branch. The application uses your location to search for nearby destinations and repeatedly reloads new points of interest, while in motion.
Cheap Gas!
Find the cheapest gasoline nearest to where you are! Then, map a route to where the cheap gas is.
