The Washington Post has also picked up on the Wolf Shirt phenomenon. It appears College Humor is claiming credit for the uptick in sales. Anyone know the timeline? I'd be curious to know if the "sextuple dog dare" came before the College Humor prank or vice versa. Either way, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that WWDC attendees probably make up a good solid chunk of those Wolf Shirt purchases. It's one thing to ask people to vote in a poll, another to spend $15 to buy something.

Oh, and the shirts have apparently sold out, as well.

In case you haven't heard, Tuesday is "Three Wolf Shirt Tuesday" at WWDC this year.

What started out as a sextuple-dog dare on twitter to wear a certain shirt that had a couple of very funny joke reviews on Amazon has taken on a bit of a life of its own. Since the dare, the t-shirt has made it to both Reddit and Digg's front pages, increasing both the shirt's sales rank and the number of humorous reviews posted. The BBC reports that sales of this particular shirt have gone up 2300% since the sextuple-dog dare to make the wolf shirt the number one clothing item on Amazon's rankings (though they missed the connection to WWDC, unfortunately).
