How to delete apps on iPhone

In this tutorial you will learn how to delete apps on iPhone. After sometime you need to remove the application that has no use at all. The reason is your subscription expires or simply you do not need it anymore. Let me teach you how to do it.

For demonstration purposes in this tutorial from simplehelp.net they used the app Weatherbug.

Step 1. Locate your spring board and see which app to delete.



Step 2. Tap and gently hold down the icon of the app you want to remove. After a few seconds your screen will start to "shake" and an X will appear next to each of the applications you've installed via the App Store.



Step 3. Tap the X next to the icon of the appliation you want to delete. When prompted, choose Delete.



Step 4. Congratulate yourself you successfully remove the application.



Step 5. If the app is still in your iTunes application also, you will need to uninstall it from there - or else it will appear again the next time you sync. To hide the application permanently you need to set up your iTunes to not to sync all applications, only the ones that you want keep.

If the application is listed in your iTunes Applications as well, you'll want to remove it from there – or else it will re-install the next time you sync. Alternately you can keep the app in your iTunes Applications, and set iTunes not to sync all applications, just the ones you want to keep. See the Applications tab of your device the next time it's connected in iTunes for syncing options.

Step 6. NOTE: you can also re-order/move the apps on your iPod Touch, iPhone or iPad using a very similar process.

NOTE: you cannot remove certain applications – generally the ones that come pre-installed on your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad – like Stocks, Maps, Safari etc.
